Why have a Personal Trainer?

A Personal Trainer used to be only for the film-stars or the extremely wealthy. Nowadays hiring a Personal Trainer is becoming as common as taking your car to a mechanic.

Our bodies are designed to move, be strong and active - without physical activity, we lose muscle tissue and become weak, stiff & sluggish. The metabolism then slows down and the tendency to eat fast, processed, fatty/sugary foods increases as our bodies crave 'pick me up' energy due to lack of fitness. This bad pattern combined with inactivity increases body fat levels (internally & externally) which opens the door to sickness and potentially disease and the slow deterioration of our over-all health.

What my clients have to say:

“Grant has been a fantastic Personal Trainer ..... he has consistently motivated me for the past 3 years that he has been training me. His sessions are always innovative and fun as well as efficient in helping me reach my goals. His regular training is a must for me now as it helps me stay focused as well as improving my concentration throughout my working day running my own busy business.”
— Jason M (Pinner)
“I have been so impressed with Grant who has been my Personal Trainer for 10 months. I have looked forward to every session which he has managed to vary every time. There are always new challenges, although he is careful to keep the routine within my capabilities while gently coaxing me to try a little harder! His cheerfulness and enthusiasm is addictive.
He is always improving his knowledge and has created exercises for me so that my old sports injuries no longer give me pain.
Best of all though is that I have dropped a whole dress size without really trying, just in time for my daughter’s wedding.”

I feel I’m an expert in having a bad back. My job as a heating engineer never helps and having suffered on and off for over thirty years, I know how many people feel.

I have used Osteopaths and Physiotherapists in the past. In the last year my back had gotten considerably worse. I was actually concerned this time that there could be an underlying factor causing my issues and was considering a visit to my GP.

I am a pro-active guy who attends the gym and have the philosophy that you have to take care of yourself and not rely on doing nothing. As a last resort, I was recommended to Grant as a Sports Massage Therapist/Personal Trainer. I gave it a go and haven’t looked back.
He is a very amicable person and his knowledge was absolutely first class and he knew exactly what he was doing, which immediately filled me with confidence (and hope). Within one session, things had eased with my (very sore) back and after half a dozen more sessions, I was fighting fit again, which I actually thought might not be achievable again.

Grant has also made a program for me to tackle, with his help, in the gym to strengthen areas of my back he thought were weak, which we are currently undertaking.
The point of this testimonial is for people that constantly have back pain and think there isn’t a cure, there could well be, and Grant could very much be your cure. Give him a go, it could very well change your mood and outlook on life.

Where I operate

About me

After incurring a severe arm-break at the age of 16 and being told I would never regain full use of the arm by surgeons, I refused to accept this as my fate. After a year of intense training/rehabilitation the surgeon was shocked to see that the arm was fully recovered and stronger than ever! This experience was to start me on my journey into the amazing world of health & fitness, it encouraged me to explore what else my body was capable of.

As soon as I had finished sixth form, I immediately booked onto a Fitness Instructor qualification and by the time I was 19 I was working within an exclusive health club trying and testing my knowledge and theories on others as well as further developing my own body and strength/fitness.

Today, I am a fully qualified, freelance Personal Trainer operating within the North West London area. My knowledge and passion for Health & Fitness is improving by the day and it never ceases to amaze me how much more there is to learn and how much I learn every day from training my clients.

If you think I may be able to help you, feel free to contact me.
